Working on Bringing Back Fairface Dual Washcloths

Over the past year, we’ve heard from many of you about how much you miss our original Fairface Dual Washcloths — the cloths made with a soft flannel side and a scrubby absorbent terrycloth side.

Your messages, encouragement, and continued support have meant more to us than we can say.

When we retired them in January 2024 due to rising material and labor costs, it was a very difficult decision. We knew how much people loved them, and we felt that loss too.

Since then, the response from customers has been incredibly meaningful. Many of you have written to share how much these cloths helped your skin, and how much you hoped they might come back one day.

As many of you know, we recently shared that this year may be our last year in business. Because of the thoughtful response from customers, we are now taking some time to reconsider what the future of Fairface might look like.

Part of that process includes exploring whether we might be able to bring back some of our sold-out products — including the Dual Washcloths — in a way that allows Fairface to operate sustainably as a small business.

Nothing is finalized yet, but we wanted to share that we are actively looking into it.

Retiring Fairface Dual Washcloths

​It is a sad day for us as we announce we will be retiring our beloved Fairface Dual Washcloths (aka Fairface Original washcloths) made with a soft flannel side + a scrubby absorbent terrycloth side. It was not an easy decision, but due to rising material and labor costs we will no longer be able to offer them.

We know a lot of you will be disappointed (so are we!) and we are sorry. After we sell out of our current inventory we will not be making any more, so grab some now while they are still available. If we have any sets available, they will be in our Fairface Washcloths Etsy shop so we can manage the remaining inventory.

We will also continue to offer our "All-flannel" soft washcloths, (i.e. Fairface Delicates and Fairface Darks made with 2 layers of soft flannel) for as long as we can. Thank you for your understanding. We hope you know how much we appreciate you!

Price increase coming June 1, 2023

Our Dear Customers,

Because you are very important to us, we wanted to give you a heads-up about an upcoming price increase and give you the chance to purchase any Fairface Washcloths you need before our prices go up June 1, 2023. 

We held off as long as we could, but in order for us to continue making our beloved soft flannel washcloths that have helped so many with sensitive skin, we need to raise our prices and shipping rates to meet the increasing financial demands we have faced for the last few years.

It is hard for us to make these changes, knowing they will impact you. Because we appreciate you and your support of our business so much, we wanted to extend this opportunity for you to purchase before we make these changes.

Fairface Originals Name Change

Hello Friends! Happy fall!

We have finally begun the process of changing one of our product names to something much more well-suited.

Our popular Dual-sided Washcloths - which have been known as Fairface Originals - will now and forever be called Fairface Duals.  It makes sense, right? Our Dual-sided Washcloth will have a matching name, for a clearer representation of what they are, not to mention they will now match their other siblings, all with D names... Fairface Duals, Delicates and Darks.  

We appreciate your patience as we transition all of the previous content from Fairface Originals to Fairface Duals. There is a lot of content and many links to replace and we are doing our best to get to them all. If you find something out of sorts, we'd sure appreciate a quick email to help us fix it right away.

Fairface Face Masks are now available through our Etsy Shop!

Hello! 

We wanted to make sure you knew that we are now making soft face masks, in addition to our soft washcloths! Our face masks are currently available through our Fairface Washcloths Etsy Shop. This allows us to better keep track of our inventory by keeping all purchases through one market place. 

We have 2 options available: (also see our Soft Flannel Face Masks page for more details)

1) An outer layer of decorative woven cotton + an inner layer of our signature, soft flannel

OR

2) A lighter-weight option, with 2 layers of decorative woven cotton (non-flannel option).

Fairface Washcloths are still shipping!

Hello friends! 

First and foremost, we hope this message reaches you healthy and doing well during these unusual circumstances. We are all in this together and our heartfelt prayers go out to each of you, wishing you and your families safety and good health.

The Governor of WA state announced last night that many businesses in our state have to close due to our new Stay Home mandate (unless we are able to make arrangements to work from home). I will personally be taking care of all your orders from my home office, where we are in a place of safety and good health. You are welcome to continue ordering Fairface Washcloths!  If anything changes, we will make that announcement, but for now it is business as usual from my home office.​

A new standard for Fairface Original Washcloths!

Our Fairface™ Originals (also known as the best all-in-one dual washcloth for sensitive skin), comes in a new standard size! We are really excited about ushering in our new standard 11"x11" size, made with the same great skin-calming flannel, and absorbent terrycloth back, in a size that is perfect for optimal coverage and comfort!

Company Name Change

We are excited to announce that we are currently in transition from our previous company name:

Shannon Sorensen Designs, to our official name: Fairface™.

Shannon Sorensen Designs is where Fairface Washcloths first got their start, but we have grown so much since that time, we decided it was important to branch off so we can focus on what we do best.  Becoming one with our Fairface™ brand, allows us to continue bringing you the best washcloths for sensitive skin, while opening new doors for exciting opportunities and new products in the future.

During this transition, you'll probably still see Fairface Washcloths associated with Shannon Sorensen Designs (and that's ok!), and online orders may still be connected to our previous entity SSorensenDesigns (and that's ok too!). It may take some time, but rest assured, we're still the same company with the same great products and services, just putting down new roots. xo
